This turkey is quite fool proof and simple to do. You can now relax with the best Christmas or Thanksgiving dinner ever. The bacon not only gives the meat a better flavour, but it also protects the breast from over cooking and drying out. Basting and removing the bacon is optional. You can simply leave the bird in the oven, forget it until cooking time and still maintain a great outcome. Separating the skin makes it crispier and the butter helps moisten and self baste the breast meat. Works with standard or brined turkeys.
