This silky, buttery, pesto pasta meal can be made in around 20 minutes with a home-made pesto. As nice as store bough pesto can be, there’s nothing better than freshly made. Using the aid of a food processor, it’s made in seconds. You could of course do it in a mortar and pestle, but it will take longer.

This recipe takes it a step further, by making a silky thicker buttery sauce that will beautifully coat each piece of pasta. I used fusilli for this recipe, as the pasta holds the sauce nicely in the groves. You can of course use the pasta of your choice, like penne or even spaghetti. Serve with grated parmesan and a few scattered fresh basil leaves.
