If you own a breadmaker, it only takes 2 minutes work to make a great pizza base. Churning time will be Between 60 to 90 minutes, this varies from machine to machine. Just add a few ingredients, walk away and its done, ready to flatten out and add your favourite toppings. Gotta love pizza!
To the bread mixer bowl, add the flour and try to make a small mount
Add the salt to the peak of the mount to avoid touching the yeast if possible.
Around the mount, add the powdered yeast. (12-14g – 1 tbsp)
Add the water leaving the flour peak exposed.
Add the olive oil to the water.
Place bowl in machine
Set to prove and mix only. (No baking)
Spray underneath the lid of the machine with olive oil spray.
You can also do this in a mixer with dough attachment. Prove and cover in warm place.
