One of my favourite pizza’s has to be the original Marguerita pizza. You cannot find a better combination despite its simplicity. With the right crust, the perfect sauce, fresh cheese and just picked basil, nothing compares. This is one one pizza where less is more, it’s a pizza you don’t mess with, it’s a pizza to die for.
Place the dough pizza base on a well floured bench.
Spoon the sauce from the centre outwards. leaving a 2 cm crust.
Break the Mozzarella into pieces and scatter over the sauce.
Slide onto palette and slide into pizza oven.
Rotate the pizza 180 degrees half way through cooking.
Remove and top with fresh basil leaves.
Less is more, do not over do it with the cheese or tomato base.
Temperature of 750F or 400C is ideal. (very hot) or a minimum of 570F or 300C
