Don’t know about you but I love almost all Italian cakes!  This one is no exception, if you like cake and cheesecake then this is for you. It’s a little a combination of both. Migliaccio is a traditional Italian cake from Naples, typically served during Carnival season.

It’s subtly sweet, with a blend of creamy ricotta, fine semolina, and hints of lemon and orange zest. The semolina adds a lovely texture, while the ricotta keeps it moist and tender. The zesty lemon, orange and cinnamon add depth to the flavour, making this cake a delightful, simple dessert perfect with coffee or tea.

It’s simple to make and a little dangerous, as it’s one of those cakes you can’t stop eating. Give it a go if you dare! I nearly ate the whole thing!
