Imagine taking slices of soft and fluffy brioche bread and turning them into a delightful breakfast treat or dessert!
Brioche French Toast (Pain Perdu) involves dipping the bread in a mixture of eggs, milk, cinnamon, and a touch of vanilla and more. It’s like a custard! These dipped custardy slices are then cooked in butter until they become golden and wonderfully tasty.
Once cooked, you can add toppings like fresh berries, powdered sugar, and maple syrup for an extra burst of flavour. It’s a breakfast that combines the rich goodness of brioche with the comforting flavours of classic French toast.

Step 2
To a frying pan on low-medium heat, add the butter.Gently melt to coat the surface.
Step 3
Place the dipped brioche slices onto the melted butter and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
Step 4
Once cooked, remove the French toast slices from frying pan and place them on a plate.
Step 5
Serve your delicious brioche French toast warm, topped with your favourite toppings like fresh berries, a dusting of powdered sugar, or like mine, a drizzle of maple syrup with whipped salted butter.
