Spicy Wings are a unique and delicious snack that is sure to bring some heat to your next gathering. These wings are made with a special blend of spices that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. The wings are deep fried for that crunchiness we all love. The wings are not overly spicy, so you can enjoy the full flavour without the hot burn.

In this video I went to try kfc version then I compared them to my recipe30 recipe.

The wings are juicy and tender, and the sauce is tangy and full of flavour. These wings are perfect for watching the game, a party, or just to enjoy as a snack. They pair great with a cold beer or a glass of ice-cold soda. These yummy wings are sure to be a hit at your next gathering.

Ingredients

24 large chicken wings
1 cup all-purpose flour
¾ cup corn starch (Corn flour)
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp fine salt
3 tsp smoked paprika
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp ginger powder
3 tsp cayenne pepper
½ tsp white pepper
1½ cups butter milk
Vegetable oil, for frying

Steps

Step 1
Remove the chicken wing tips and discard or use for stock, then cut wings in half at the joint.
Step 2
In a large bowl, using a whisk, mix together the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, ground ginger, cayenne pepper, cayenne pepper and white pepper.
Step 3
Sprinkle one third of the spice mix over the chicken wings, make sure they are evenly coated. Place them in a small bowl and pour in enough butter milk to cover them. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours or ideally overnight. Cover and keep the spice mix for later.
Step 4
The next day or a few hours later, add the all-purpose plain flour, corn starch and baking powder. Mix well.
Step 5
In a large, deep pot, heat the vegetable oil to 320°F – 160°C.
Step 6
Remove chicken wings from fridge and immediately coat them one at a time in the flour mix just before frying. Don’t prepare too many as they work best when freshly coated.
Step 7
Place in hot oil and deep fry for approx. 5 minutes. (This can vary so test a couple first) Be sure to use a thermometer to monitor the temperature of the oil and do not over crowd the pot when frying. Three or four at a time works well.
Step 8
Remove fried wings and carefully place over a cooling rack. Enjoy with your favourite sweet chili sauce.
