A tasty and healthier alternative to eggs Benedict.
For the health conscious, this breakfast is recommended for weight loss but it simply tastes great as a healthier option. It energises you and keeps you going until lunch time. Taste so amazing you’ll still feel guilty drinking it but its packed full of greatness!
Ingredients
1 Banana
1 Apple (organic)
1 Cup organic mixed frozen berries
2 tbs Greek yogurt
1 tbs ground linseed (flaxseed)
1 cup of coconut water
Half cup of oats
Steps
Step 1
Slice your peeled banana.
Step 2
Remove stem from apple, cut in pieces. ‘*read tips below about apple seeds’
Step 3
Add banana and apple to your high speed blender.
Step 4
Add the frozen berries (these really need to be organic).
Step 5
Add your linseed.
Step 6
Add your oats.
Step 7
Add coconut water.
Step 8
Add yogurt and blend for approx. 30 to 45 seconds.
Little Tips
If you have a super high speed blender 10,000rpm plus, then you can use whole linseed, otherwise pre-grind in coffee grinder.
Be very cautious when buying frozen berries, in particular from China which should be avoided. Berries are sprayed with many chemicals. Buying organic should be the only option if consuming regularly.
Always use the whole organic apple seeds and all. The core and seeds are packed with nutrients and will just be blended up.
*Apple seeds, almonds, cherry, apricot pips all contain amygdalin which may help prevent cancer, too much of it can be dangerous. Do your research before consuming apple seeds. If unsure, remove the core and seeds.
